In the penultimate fixtures of the BDO Inter Counties Championship there was a good result for Warwickshire in the premier division, they travelled north to take on Lancashire and returned with a cracking 22-14 victory. There was only one down side to the weekend and that was the defeat of the men’s ‘A’ team. they lost 7-5 with Kevin Dowling (29.75) their top man. Tom Ryan (29.94) was the ‘B’ side man of the match as they strolled to an 8-4 win. Both ladies teams chalked up wins. The ‘A’ side won 5-1, Trina Gulliver’s magnificent 30.06 average gave her the lady of the match award, while in the ‘B’ teams 4-2 success Pat Thornton took the trophy with her 20.41 average.
