Despite being joint leaders and reigning champions of the Forest of Arden Winter League, Hobs Meadow are not having the best of times recently. Having lost a couple of games in the league they have now made their exit in the quarter finals of the Presidents Cup. Playing at home Hobs finished on the wrong side of a 6-3 result at the hands of the Stechford Social. Barry Salter hit a maximum for Stechford. The other joint leaders, Hobs Meadow Mixes were also involved in a 6-3 scoreline, however, they were on the right side with Farringdon Social the losers.
In the other games Cock and Hens recorded their first win of the season so far when they won 5-4 at the Old Bill and Bull while, Red Arrows stormed into the last four with a 7-2 success against Mackadown Social.

Peter Allen suffered a set back in the Minworth Social Individual League when he lost 2-1 to Steve Cain, this being only his second defeat in sixteen outings. Nevertheless, Allen with 68 points holds on to pole position, his nearest rival Mark Hollyoak having 59 points but has two games in hand.
Gordon Clinton and Gary Mills both chalked up 14 darts legs, Clinton beating third placed Tony Randell 2-1 and Mills accounting for Barry Stephens with a 3-0 scoreline.
Maximums were hit by Tony Randell, Derek Fardon, Lance Thompson Steve Brindley and Ricky Lawrence.

7-2 wins were recorded by the two top teams in the Small Heath Winter League, leaders Saltley Flights gaining their win at Custard House ‘B’, while Sheldon Heath Flights won at home against Montgomerys. Custard House ‘A’ were the weeks biggest winners as they romped to an 8-1 success at Ward End Ex Service Club.

In division one of the Longwood Winter League Three Horse Shoes maintained their number one spot with a 5-3 home win over the Queens Head. Second and third teams, White Lion and Red Lion ‘A’ (Wilnecote) squared up to each other on White Lion’s board. The result a 5-3 win for the hosts to put them level on points with Red Lion and with just one point of average more than their rivals they move into second place.
In division two it was a case of the top taking on the bottom as Railway increased their advantage as leaders with a comfortable 8-0 victory. Second placed Plough and Harrow, despite beating Progressive Club 5-3 remain eight points adrift of the Railway who are still unbeaten so far.
