It was not such a happy tale for the West Midlands in division three of the BDO Inter County Championships playing away to Devon they desperately needed a result after losing both of their opening games. Unfortunately it was not to be. The only shining light from the weekend’s games was provided by the men’s ‘A’ side, who beat their counterparts 8-4 for their first win of the season. For the second consecutive match Mangal Singh (27.57) took the man of the match award. The ‘B’ side went down 5-7, their first defeat so far. Jamie Parsons (28.75) was their top man. Angie Perry (18.63) and Sue Smith (14.54) took in turn the ‘A’ and ‘B’ awards with their respective teams losing 2-4 and 1-5.
