Congratulations go to the West Midlands, who in their BDO Inter County Championship division two home tie with Gwent recorded their first win in seven outings, in fact their first of the season. The men were very instrumental in the 23-16 win as they both won, the ‘A’ 8-4 and the ‘B’ 9-3. On form for the respective sides were Nick Walters (28.54) and Ron Johnson (29.47).
Gill Cook (15.49), for the third consecutive match won the ‘A’ teams match award. Unfortunately Gill turned out to be the team’s only winner as they lost 5-1, the ‘B’ side are also suffering with not even a draw to their name so far. This latest match was no better, a 4-2 reversal with only Claire Hobbs and Frances Allen winning. Hobbs took the best player trophy with a 16-52 average.
