Midland Red have stretched their unbeaten run to five games in the Four Oaks and District League with a 7-2 win at home to the Plough and Harrow. However, Castle Vale Residents, who have lost just one fixture, are keeping the leaders well in their sights after an 8-1 win at Bromford Social, but spare a thought for J.Collins, who hit a 180 and R.Hawker, who broke with 160, both played for losers. R.George (M.E.B) also hit a 180 as his team went down 5-4 at Boldmere Settlers.

A similar story in division two as T.Lewis (Boldmere Mixed) found the three treble twenties and finished on the losing team, Drakes Drum winning 6-3. Not the case for Mile Oak’s P.Jones, his 180 helping his team to a 5-4 win over S.S.Mary and Johns. Leaders Good Hope suffered a 6-3 reversal at the Safe Harbour, their first defeat of the season, they do nevertheless stay two points in front of S.S. Mary and Johns and Safe Harbour.
