The Forest of Arden Winter League will be holding their AGM at the Sheldon Heath Social Club, Brays Road, Sheldon, on Wednesday 16th August commencing at 8-00pm. The Sheldon Charity team recently travelled to Hampton-in-Arden to take on the representatives of the Fentham Club. The event raised a fabulous total of £163 which will go to the Birmingham Children’s Hospital and the University Hospital Burns Unit.
The teams next match is this coming Saturday at Sheldon Heath Social Club. In the afternoon the team will play a cricket match against the club at the BCS Ground, Barrows Lane starting at 2-30pm.

The Sheldon Summer League’s next meeting will be on Sunday August 13th at Lea Hall RBL with a 10-30am start. All teams should be represented.

There was a real end of season feeling at the Irish Centre, Digbeth when in the Four a Side Ladies League the last two fixtures of the season were unable to be played. Northfield were only able to field two players and as a result Selly Park were awarded a 16-0 walk over. In the other fixture Yardley failed to turn up and again a 16-0 result was awarded, this time to league champions Sutton.

On Sunday 20th August both Warwickshire and West Midlands will be doing battle for the BDO Inter Counties Champion of Champions title. Joining the two local teams will be representatives from Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire.
The eight teams will line up at the Warwickshire headquarters Belgrave Sports and Social Club, Wilnecote Lane, Tamworth with match play getting underway at 12-0 noon.

Congratulations to Tipton men who with 120 points have once more won the West Midlands Super League title. Tipton finished 22 points clear of their nearest rivals Wednesfield. Wednesbury ended the season by taking the wooden spoon, having only chalked up 46 points. However, there was consolation for Wednesbury as their ladies team won their section with a surplus of six points over runners up Blakenhall.
Winning the men’s averages knockout was Halesowen’s Ade Arnold and the ladies Angie Perry from Wednesbury. The Delegates competition was won by Avtar Singh from Bloxwich.

There was a top of the table clash in division one of the South West Birmingham Clubs League when leaders Austin Social took on second placed Stirchley United. The outcome was a massive 6-1 victory for the home team, Stirchley. However, Austin still hold on to pole position with a two point’s advantage, but Stirchley do have two games in hand. C.Steadman (Austin Social) recorded a 160 break.
Following three consecutive defeats second division Bournbrook Flights chalked up a very useful 4-3 win at home to newly promoted Solihull Municiple who are only two points adrift of the divisional leaders.
