Tom had a first round 2-1 win over F.Johnson. He followed that with a similar win against T.Hamilton in the next round. In the final McGlone took on Mark Hollyoake. Another Custard House player, J.Pears took the team two title with a final win over yet again another Black Horse representative, S.Doran. It was 180’s galore in the Bass Breweries sponsored Minworth Social Individual League this week with no fewer than seven recorded. New leader Gary Mills set the pattern when in his 2-1 win over Tony Pedley both players found the three treble twenties. Rob Smith’s maximum was not enough to avoid a 2-1 defeat against Steve Cain who had outshots of 129 and 156. Cain then went on to hit a 180 in his 3-0 success against Paul Burnham. A maxi helped Karl Stephens to a 3-0 victory over Tim Ryland while it was little comfort to Colin Farrington as he lost by the odd leg to Karl Stephens.
