The 35th season of the Irish Centre Four a Side Ladies League has got underway and reigning champions Selly Park have had a nightmare start. In the opening game they lost 20-1 to Acocks Green and followed that with a 19-2 defeat at the hands of Sutton. It is no coincidence that Lesley Newcombe, Selly Park’s top player last season, has decided this campaign to join Sutton and in her opening game for her new team she chalked up 6×100,116,2×140 plus a magnificent 180.
Acocks Green continued their first fixture success with a 16-5 win over Northfield.
