West Midlands still seeking their first win of the campaign in division two, travelled to Cheshire. Gill Cook (19-03) was the only winner as the ‘B’ side lost 5-1. The men’s ‘B’ also found themselves on the wrong side of an 8-4 scoreline, Mark Wellings (28.52) the top man of the four winners.
Sunday’s games began more promisingly, the ladies recorded their first win of the season, 4-2 with Angie Perry (22.84) their top player. Ian Jones (31.98) took the men’s award as they continued their unbeaten run with a 9-3 victory and in the process rescuing a share of the points when all appeared lost.
