In division two of the BDO Inter County Champinships West Midlands travelled north to take on Humberside, hoping to return to winning ways after three consecutive defeats. It was not to be. However, they did earn a draw which was a step in the right direction. Diane Tolley (20.31) helped the ‘A’ team to a 4-2 victory and Lynne Reynolds was the ‘B’ team’s top player with 20.13, in a 3-3 draw.

The men’s ‘B’ lost for only the second time this season, going down 7-5. The ‘A’ finished all square at six each, putting the final score at 18-18. Award winners were, for the ‘A’ Gary Taylor (28.72) and for the ‘B’ Adrian Hammersley (22.52).
