To round off the old year the Harborne and District Winter League staged the first rounds of their Wadsworth and Skipp Cups. First the Wadsworth Cup, the biggest shock was provided by Bartley Green Social Club who with a 6-3 scoreline took out Premier division outfit Red Lion. Biggest win of the round went to Londonderry who chalked up a massive 8-1 success against the Plough. Close behind were Midland Red, Raven and Hobsons Choice who had 7-2 wins over respective opponents Stonehouse, Weoley Castle and Quinborne. Also through to the next round are Travellers Rest who beat Harborne Stores 6-3, plus Highlander and Avenue Social, accounting for, in turn Village Stump and The Brook with 5-4 results.
