The weekend of the 18th and 19th of September 2021 saw history made in the world of darts when the inaugural fixtures of the UKDA National League were played.
In the Premier Division Lincolnshire in their home tie with Cheshire chalked up the biggest win of the division winning 24-12, close behind them were Lancashire and London who in turn accounted for Glamorgan and Hampshire with 23-13 results.
Warwickshire had a tremendous result away to Yorkshire, a 20-16 win which was their first win on Yorkshire’s board since 1977 when they won 13-11.
Gwent go to the top of the Championship table with a massive 27-9 home victory over West Midlands, their nearest rivals being Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire who both recorded 21-15 home wins against their respective opponents Kent and Berkshire.
The fixture between Cambridgeshire and Oxfordshire was postponed.
Cleveland lead the way in Division One following their 24-12 victory away to Merseyside, Suffolk take second place with a 21-15 success away to Surrey.
A 24-12 win away to Montgomery and Radnor has seen West of England set the early pace in Division Two with County Durham hot on their heels with their 21-15 home success against Tyne and Wear.
Division Two saw another postponed fixture, that of Middlesex versus Norfolk.
Newcomers to the county scene Black Country are leaders of Division Three, their 22-14 home win over Gloucestershire the best of the division with Northumberland lying in second place with their 21-15 win at Wirral.
Division Three also had a postponed fixture, the game between Breconshire and Pembrokeshire, whilst Isle of Wight had a bye.

The United Kingdom Darts Association have announced the details of their Darts Corner Champions Cup and National Finals to be played on the 25th and 26th June 2022 respectively together with the breakdown of the prize money for each of the events which are as follows

The UKDA are proud to announce in partnership with MAD darts, a unique playing opportunity for all registered UKDA Superleague players and MAD members.
We are offering our members the chance to play in the Modus Online Darts League against some of the world’s best amateur players.
UKDA would look to identify 1 player from the Premier League National League Super League, 1 player from the Championship, 1 player from League 1, and 1 player across Leagues 2 and 3, to advance to the Modus Online Darts Live League.
There is the chance to perform live on TV if you make it through to the Champions Week after the group stages.
Each player will have the chance to play 5 Days/Nights of Online Darts and the chance to earn money along the way as well as increasing their own personal darting CV.
Players will have to be free to travel to the venue in Southampton and play on the dates below.
Please make sure if you qualify, your available for the Champions week.
Week 1 – 20th-25th September – Elite Premier League representative
Week 2 – 27th Sept – 2nd October – AON Championship League representative
Week 3 – 11th-16th October – L-Style League One representative
Week 4 – 18th-23rd October – League 2/3 representative
Champions Week – 25th-30th October – Any players that qualify
Qualifying periods for the highest averages from UKDA Super League will be one week for each place that’s available.

Week 3 – 30th August – 5th September – L-Style League One

You will need to be a registered MAD member 24hrs before you play your Superleague game. If you are not a registered member, your averages will not be considered.
It will be the responsibility of the players to forward on their averages from there Superleague games. We will require the full game stats for verification reasons. These will be emailed to tony.martin@ukdartsassociation.com

From an entry of 28 players in the pre=season knockout for the Ripley Elite Darts Singles League it was Loscoe’s number one Ian Richardson who prevailed and scooped the winners prize in a fantastic night of darts which culminated with Richardson beating newcomer Charlie Marshall 4-2 in the final. The Royal, Albrighton are once again up and running with their very popular knockouts and the latest saw an encouraging 34 entries with no fewer than 24 top county players and two internationals.
The last four games saw Dudley’s Chris Fox, who had taken out Ian Jones in the previous round, take on Willenhall’s Ben Johnson and progress further with a 5-1 win.
From the other half of the draw Shane Sheridan (Birmingham) won 5-2 against Cannock’s Mark Craddock.
Playing the best of eleven legs the final went down to the wire with Shane Sheridan just edging out Chris Fox 6-5 to clinch the top prize of £200 with Fox receiving £100, losing semi-finalists Ben Johnson and Mark Craddock each collected £35.

Gilbert’s Bar staged a knockout on Saturday 11th September which attracted 36 players including international, county and super league players with the top prize of £220 going to Wednesfield’s Wayne Jones. Jones took out Scott Hope in the quarter finals and then booked his place in the final with a 5-0 win over Chris Hill. From the other side of the draw Rob Thompson (Walsall) beat Kevin Taylor in the last eight and then after a close 5-4 verdict against Mick Baker in the semis reached the final.
The final saw Wayne Jones beat Rob Thompson 6-2 to win the knockout, Thompson received £100 as runner-up, there was £40 for losing semi-finalists Mick Baker (Wolverhampton) and Chris Hill (Willenhall), with £10 for Jason Meek, Kevin Taylor, Scott Hope, Phil Clarke who all made their exit in the quarter finals.

In the first round losers competition Andy Jervis (Wednesfield) beat Ben Johnson (Willenhall) 4-3 to collect £40. Johnson received £20.
