A 5-2 win over fifth in the table West Heath has given Avenue Social the Kings Norton League title as with 52 points and only one fixture remaining they have a four points advantage over their nearest rivals Rubery RBL who will now take the runners-up spot as they are eight points to the good on third in the table E57 who do have a game in hand but cannot catch Rubery.
A 5-2 home defeat by Cock Inn leaves Northfield at the foot of the table, they will take the wooden spoon.

The Bears have lost pole position in the Shirley and District Monday Night League after suffering their first defeat of the campaign as they went down 6-3 at The Highwood who are fourth in the table but on the same ten points as second placed Bears. New leaders The Wharf have gone from third place and taken over the number one spot after winning their home tie with HSDT 8-1 putting them on the same ten points as Bears but with a better average. Also on ten points are third, fourth and fifth placed Lodge, Highwood and Dunky’s Boys, Lodge winning 6-3 at Drawbridge while Dunky’s Boys who are the only team with a 100% win record in the league had a bye and now have a game in hand on the four teams above them.

The Small Heath League played off the final of their Consolation Cup which ended with a very close 5-4 result going in favour of Emerald Club with Wagon and Horses the losing finalists.

It was Doubles Knockout week in the Camp Hill League which saw Ken Vaughan and Anthony Vaughan from the Emerald Club beat the White Swan Nomads pairing of Dan Lee and John West in the final, losing semi-finalists were Joe Fox and Liam Fox (Emerald Club) and Dan Lees and Matt Cooper (Sheldon Marlborough Flights).

Week three in the Shirley Legion Double Top League has seen Mick Bown take over as the league’s new leader. With 3-1 wins over Dave Barrows, Sean Talbot and Jaime Whitton Bown took his points tally from six games to 19 points but only leads Mark Gwalchmai and Adam Stuart on average as they too have the same 19 points from six games. Gwalchmai’s night began with a 14 darts leg as he was held to 2-2 draw by Ben Quadri, he then romped to a 4-0 success against Ravi Saggo while former leader Stuart, like Gwalchmai was also held to a 2-2 draw in his opening game against Lee Holtham and had the same result in his fixture with Steve Heeks.
Besides Mick Bown the only other 100% winner in the league is fourth placed Thomas Bent who made it five games played with a 4-0 win over Steve Harper in which he recorded a 10 darts leg and then beat Kyle Bevan 3-1 to put him on 18 points just one short of the top three with a game in hand.
Highlights on the night saw Jack Sidwell record a 152 break in a 2-2 draw with Sam Hicks, Mark Henderson hit a maximum in a 2-2 draw with Ken Hopton and Ben Quadri check out on 122 despite losing 3-1 to Jordan Ottley. The fastest leg of darts was nine this week going to John O’Sullivan in a 3-1 win over Lee Harris.

The Silver End Sunday Morning League played the second leg of round one of their Team Knockout and winning through to the quarter finals were Dudley Sports, Brickmakers Arms ‘B’, Glasscutters ‘A’, Old Star, High Oak, High Acres, Woodside ‘A’ and Brickmakers Arms ‘A’.
Woodside ‘A’ were taken to the wire as after losing the first leg against Glascutters ‘A’ 5-3 they then won the home leg by the same 5-3 margin and the game then went to a decider which was won by Woodside.

There is just outstanding fixture to be played in the Stourbridge and District Monday Night League between Gate Hangs Well and Hop House, whichever team wins will move up one place in the table, Gate Hangs Well will go to sixth place and Hop House would finish the season ninth.
Champions Brickmakers Arms rounded off what has been a fantastic season with a 7-2 home win over fifth in the table Ashwood to make it an unbelievable 42 games played with 42 wins and a perfect 84 points. Runners-up Ten Arches ‘A’ handed out a 9-0 whitewash to their final visitors Kingswinford Conservative Club ‘B’ to just beat their ‘B’ side to the number two spot as they had the same 76 points but trailed on average, their final game seeing them win 6-3 away to Kingswinford Conservative Club ‘A’.
Although they still have one more game to play Hop House have won the Shadow League, their 26 points is six more than second placed Stourbridge RBL.

Week fifteen in the Rowley Monday Night League was one leader’s The Bell would wish to forget as for the first time in this season’s fifteen games played they lost. Bell were playing away to fifth in the table Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘A’ and returned on the wrong side of the 5-4 result. Despite their defeat Bell remain in pole position but have had their lead halved with George and Cradley Sports and Social just two points behind them. George kept the pressure on the Bell with a 7-2 home win over Cottage while Cradley Sports and Social with a terrific 154 finish from Andy Floyd won by the same margin at home against Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘B’.
L.Gill hit a 180 for fourth in the table Ivy Bush who won 5-4 at Three Diamonds and Fairfield’s Ashley Hall had a 160 break in his team’s 8-1 win over Hare and Hounds.

Roebuck were the only losers in the top six teams in week fourteen of the Brierley Hill Monday Night League, they dropped one place in the table to third as a result of their 7-2 defeat away to Dudley Sports ‘A’ who are fifth and four points behind Roebuck. Leader’s High Oak continued their fine form with a 7-2 home win over Brickmakers Arms to stay two points ahead of Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘A’ who have replaced Roebuck in second place following their 7-2 win at Bull and Bladder, Roebuck have the same 24 points as Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘A’.

The Netherton Thursday Night League played their Singles Knockout at four different venues to bring the competition down to the last eight players. Making their way into the quarter finals were B.Neale, J.Sharratt, A.Ghaley (Riddins Tavern), D.Brown, P.Tonks, R.Carr (Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club), I.Golding, S.Fellows (Bulls Head).

There were just two rearranged fixtures played in the Cradley Tuesday night League which saw Bulls Head (Netherton) win their home game against Dudley Labour Club 5-4 and by the same 5-4 margin Wheatsheaf win at home against Plough.
Neither of the results affect the league placing’s too much Wheatsheaf the highest placed team of the four, they are third in the table but trail leaders Brickmakers Arms ‘A’ by some nine points.

All team secretaries and players should note that the AGM for the Warwickshire Ladies and Men’s Super League is set for July 14th at the Bishopsgate Club, Foleshill Road, Coventry, CV1 4JJ with an 11.00am start.
Any proposals for rule changes must be in hands of either the men’s or ladies secretary at least 7 days prior to the set date.
Any Proposals for the positions of Secretary, Treasurer or Chairman must be in hands of the secretary at least 7 days prior to the set date.
The Warwickshire County AGM is on Sunday 18th August again at the Bishopsgate Club, Coventry and again with an 11.00am start.
Any Proposals must be in the hands of the Secretary no later than 14 days prior to set date
Any Proposals for the position of Chairman must be in hands of County Secretary at least 14 days prior to the set date. Ladies are holding their own AGM prior to this meeting to discuss their format.

High Oak received their first defeat in nine games in the Brierley Hill Friday Night League when they went down 4-3 at home to their nearest rivals Brickmakers Arms ‘A’ who are now on the same 16 points as their hosts and trail by just two legs of average.
A further two points behind is third in the table Ashwood who won their home game against Delph Bell who are placed fifth and now with 8 points are six points behind their victors.

The Stourbridge and District Wednesday Night League have been involved in the second round of their Singles Knockout and going into the hat for the next round are K.Sprague (Gate Hangs Well), M.Hadley (Netherton Cricket Club), J.Barrowman (Ashwood ‘A’), J.Pickett (Glasscutters), J.Ward (Ashwood ‘B’), G.Moreton (Swan), M.Rutter (Wilson Hall), S.Aitkens (Ten Arches ‘A’).
On the league front after completing 30 games the two top teams Swan and Ashwood ‘A’ are only separated by average, both teams on 56 points after Swan handed out a 7-0 whitewash to their hosts High Acres and Ashwood ‘A’ had a closer 4-3 win at home against Gate Hangs Well. Third in the table Ashwood ‘B’ had a 5-2 win at Glasscutters which leaves them two points short of the top two teams but with a game in hand.

Bombay Bob’s Boys made it 20 wins from 20 games in the Main Division of the Pip Cub League when they beat Globe (Wilnecote) 7-2. The win take the leaders to a perfect 40 points with a slender one point lead plus a game in hand on Belgrave Sports and Social Club who went one better with an 8-1 win away to Belgrave Club.
The position is the same at the top of the Seeded Division One table with Bombay top on 20 points from 10 games and Belgrave Sports and Social second with 19 points from 11 games.
Pip Club head the Seeded Division Two League on average only, they have 16 points from 10 games but second placed Globe (Wilnecote) are on the same 16 points from one game less than their rivals.

As a result of having a bye in week 11 of the Tettenhall Wednesday Night League, Cleveland Arms have been knocked off the top of the table and drop to third with 18 points. Replacing Cleveland in pole position is Hurst Hill who made it ten straight wins when they beat Bull 4-3 to remain the only team in the league with an unbeaten record. Two points adrift of Hurst Hill with 18 and in second place is Whitmore Reans WMC who were 5-2 winners away to Brewood British Legion, Whitmore ahead of Cleveland in the table by virtue of the fact that their average is better than Cleveland’s.
It was a good week for the ECC Sports and Social Club as their ‘A’ side had a convincing 6-1 win over Dog and Partridge to cement their fourth position in the table and the ‘B’ team won 5-2 away to Moreton to see them move a little higher up the table.

A bye for Bull in the Wolverhampton Tuesday Night League has seen them lose the number one spot in the Doubles Division and drop to third with Railway moving up from second place to top the table with 18 points after their 3-0 win over Penn Bowling. Riley’s ‘C’ are just one leg of average short of Railway after their 2-1 win against Royal, Albrighton.
In the Singles Division it’s the other way round as Riley’s ‘C’ top the table with 20 points and Railway are second on the same number of points but trailing on average. Riley’s ‘C’ won 6-1 against Royal, Albrighton while Railway had a 5-2 win over Penn Bowling.
