The Winmau Centre Monday Night League in the Wolverhampton Indoor Community Sports Arena have completed their fixtures and the new winners of the league are What’s The Point who rounded off their eighteen games season with a massive 44-4 win over Full Monty to give them a final total of 629 points twenty five more than runners up and a former holders of the title The Untouchables who also had a big finish beating Make Mine A Double 41-7.

Full marks go to Double Trouble who with a 36-12 defeat in their final game with Keep It In The Family  and despite not chalking up one single win throughout the campaign they completed all of their fixtures.

The Winmau Centre Thursday Night Champions League is now well into its new season and leading the charge for the title, winners prize money and the Winmau twelve months sponsorship that goes with it is Chris Manoila who has amassed a total of 73 points from his opening fifteen games. Chris is closely followed by his namesake Chris Williams and winner for the past two seasons Mick Baker who are both on 72 points. Williams has two games in hand on Manoila while Baker who has played thirteen games has played one fewer than the leader.

A man to keep an eye on is West Midlands player Sam Guest who despite currently lying in ninth place in the table is the only player in the league with a 100% win record from his eleven games and with seven points on offer in every game he could possibly increase his total to 94 after fifteen games and take over in pole position.

So it’s all very tight at the top but there are still plenty of fixtures to be played and there will undoubtedly be more twists and turns before the end of the season and the title decided.
