Berkshire v Derbyshire
Derbyshire’s last BDO Inter County Championships fixture of 2016 was a home tie against Northamptonshire in which an 18-18 draw was enough to lift them off the foot of the division two table after they had seffered three defeats in their opening three fixtures of the season.
This coming weekend Derbyshire will travel south to take on Berkshire in what is really a must win game if they are to get away from the relgation zone as their hosts are the next team above them in the table and have a fifteen points advanatage, any sort of win would obviously reduce that lead and at the same time not only instill some much needed confidence in the team but could also widen the gap between them and the bottom two teams Staffordshire and Suffolk, Staffordshire with 53 points are just one behind Derbyshire while Suffolk are some ten points adrift.
