Ripley Elite Darts Singles League
Week two of the Ripley Elite Darts Singles League saw another record breaking night at Somercotes Snooker Club as the evening produced no fewer than 26 maximums the highest number ever recorded in one night and hitting five of them was Kyle Anderson. Kyle also recorded the league’s highest ever three darts average as he chalked up an unbelievable 104.40 with winning legs of 12,13,2×15 and 17 darts in a 5-0 win over Daz Sullivan who himself had a more than reasonable 81.90 average.
Player of the week candidates included Daz Brown who bounced back from last week’s defeat with two solid wins, 5-0 against Craig Freeman followed by a 4-1 success over Dave Fritchley, other players to win both of their games were Daz Sinfield, Pete Slater, a man making his premier division debut Ian Richardson and Andy Marriott. Lee Stanley from division one was another contender as he hit 3×80 and chalked up a thirteen darts leg in his 3-2 wins over Dean Lawrence and John Bush, but the accolade must surely go to the record breaking Aussie Kyle Anderson with his two wins, five maximums,a highest finish of 116 and a record breaking 104 plus average.
