The Shirley Legion Double Top League is now going into its final five weeks of fixtures and currently Kyle Bevan, after adding a 4-0 win over Lee Lattimer in week seven tops the table with 43 points from eleven games. Bevan’s latest win gives him a lead of eight points plus two games in hand on his nearest rival Mark Gwalchmai who lost ground in the title race when he went down 4-0 to Tom McCabe. McCabe was in top form checking out on 150 and recording winning legs of 16 and 18 darts. Gwalchmai was then held to a 2-2 draw by Dave Heighway and with 35 points is just one ahead of both Tom Bent and Mick Bown. Bent followed up his 3-1 win over Mark O’Donnell with a 4-0 success against Steve Harper and has a game in hand on Gwalchmai. Mick Bown has played the same 13 games as Gwalchmai but didn’t play in week seven.

Although Kyle Bevan is top of the table and has an impressive eight points lead on the rest of the field there is a battle going on below him as just six points separate the players from second to seventh place.
