With Royal Sutton Flights having a bye in week four of the Four Oaks and District League The Boat with a 6-3 win over second placed Golden Hind have taken over pole position in division one with eight points two more than Golden Hind and Royal Sutton, but Royal Sutton now have a game in hand.

In division two Red Lion lost for the first time in four games going down 5-4 at home to Erdington Arrows who had previously lost their one and only game. Bishop Vesey snatched victory from the jaws of defeat after going 4-1 down at The Fox they took the final four games for a 5-4 win.

Sutton Sports and Social Club lost the first seven games to Brookvale Social but made the result a little more respectable when they won the last two. Brookvale Social and Oscott Social are tied at the top of the third division both having six points, however Oscott Social have played three games as opposed to Brookvale’s four and head the table with a slightly superior average.

R.Bazeley (Erdington Arrows) hit this week’s only 180, T.Colley (Red Lion) had a top score of 177.

Erdington Members Club continue to lead division one in the South Birmingham League after adding a 7-2 win over The Trident to their tally which gives them a two points advantage over second in the table Banbury Arrows who won their home tie with Pavillions 7-2. There was a first win in four for Mackadown Social as they won 6-3 at The Raven.

In the second division Iron Horse took their unbeaten run to four games with a 7-2 win over Toby Jug and remain in the number one spot two points to the good on second placed C’s Arrows who had a closer 5-4 win against Kingfisher. C’s Arrows have also won all of the games so far but have only played three.

Just two results from the Forest of Arden Winter League and it was not good news for the Highwood as Highwood Exiles lost 6-3 at Greville Arrows and Highwood Arms lost by the same margin at home to The C’s.

The Henley and District League played their singles knockout down to the last four players and making their way to the semis after some top class darts throughout were Andrew Foulkes, Dale Evans, Alan Marsh and David Envine.

The evening raised £20 which will go towards the £200 minimum target for the league’s forthcoming charity match against the Sports Argus team.

A 3-0 success against Richard O’Grady followed by a 2-1 win over Steve Cain has seen Will Naylor take over pole position in the Erdington Red Lion Double Top League with a three points lead over his nearest rival Jim Frost who beat Stuart Larvin 3-0 before losing ground on Naylor when he went down 2-1 to Matthew Cain.

Former leader Dean Bayliss didn’t play in week four and has dropped down to fourth place in the table. Although Bayliss is some four points short of Naylor he now has a game in hand which could net him five points.

It’s close at the top of the Shirley and District Monday Night League with no fewer than five teams all on twelve points. Highwood top the table on average despite losing for the first time in seven games when they finished on the wrong side of a 5-4 result at Red Lion (Steve Sidwell 180) who are now joint second with Dunky’s Boys who had an 8-1 win against The Lodge.

Cider House are fourth in the table, their 5-4 win against Legionnaires keeping them just ahead of Drawbridge Bears on average after Drawbridge won by the same 5-4 margin against Saracen’s Jesters.

With maximums from both Brian Lawton and Gary Cleverley Solihull Sports Club won 5-4 at Saracens Misfits.

After the opening ten games in the Winmau Centre Monday Night League Misfits have opened up a massive 48 points lead at the top of the table their latest win being a huge 46-2 success against Make Mine A Double. Second placed The Untouchables won a tight game with third in the table Just The Tip 26-22 to put them ten points to the good on their opponents.

Round one of the Belgrave Cup was on the fixture card for the Pip Club League and in the division one games there were wins for The Office, Queens Head, Winning Post and Sports Bar ‘180’ while winning through to the next round in division two were Old Liberal House, Dolphin and Red Lion, Pip Club had a bye.

It was League Cup week in the Camp Hill League and Holy Souls were the biggest winners of the round as they handed out a 7-0 whitewash to their opponents Station Wagon. The other three games all ended with close 4-3 results going in favour of Devil’s Club, Cotterills Lane Club and Crown Jewels (Dan Lee 180,152 break) who in turn defeated Wagon and Horses, Tyseley WMC (Nathan Prentice 180) and Emerald Club.

Longbridge United leaders of division one of the South West Birmingham Clubs League were held to a 4-4 draw by third in the table West Heath CEM who are two points behind the leaders. Second in the table Rubery RBL moved to within one point of Longbridge with a 5-3 win at Yardley Wood.

In division two Solihull Municipal and Bournbrook are the only two teams not to have lost any of the games, Solihull with a 5-3 win at Perfection top the table with a two points lead over second placed Bournbrook who had a bye in week four.

Bournbrook Ladies lead the Ladies Section, their 4-3 win against Bartley Green FC ‘A’ putting them two points ahead of Stirchley Nomads who won 4-3 at Longbridge Ladies.

Week sixteen in the Shirley Red Lion Premier League saw Steve Sidwell seize the opportunity to go top of the table by taking 7 of a possible 8 points when he beat George Drennan 3-1 and then completed his programme with a 4-0 win over Dave Fisher to put him on 85 points from his 28 games, however Tom Bent is favourite for the league title as he has one game remaining and is just one point behind Sidwell.

One time leader Mark Gwalchmai has had to settle for third spot with 81 points, four more than Paul Higgins and Lee Harris who both finished with 77 points

The week’s £5 prize for the highest finish went to Tony Daly who checked out on 112 in his 4-0 win over Chris Thomas.

Tony Randell has opened up a ten points lead over second in the table Jordan Ward in the Winmau Centre Thursday Night Champions League after winning fifteen of his sixteen games played so far.

Three times champion Mick Baker is currently lying fourth in the table on 61 points some 22 short of Randell but with five games in hand, which could net him a total of 35 points Baker is still well in contention for a fourth title.

The Kings Norton League are up to week five of their new season and almost half of the league are level on eight points at the top of the table.

Avenue Social handed out a first defeat in five to E57, a convincing 6-1 result that keeps them top of the leading six teams on average, E57, West Heath, Grant Arms, Rubery RBL and Bournbrook making up the top six.

Club Dudley have lost pole position in the Sedgley and Gornal Tuesday Night League after suffering a 6-3 defeat away to sixth in the table Coseley Tavern. Club Dudley drop into third place behind Parkes Hall who move up one place following their commanding 8-1 win against Gornal British Legion. Topping the table is Gornal Labour Club whose 5-4 home win over Red Cow puts them on 14 points, Parkes Hall are on the same number of points but have an inferior average.

The West Midlands Men’s Super League are up to week 13 and leading the way with 74 points is The Lancaster whose latest fixture saw them win 4-1 at Allen Sports Bar ‘D’ to give them a three points lead over second placed Allens Sports Bar ‘A’ who won by the same 4-1 scoreline away to Olde Queens Head.

Reigning champions Landywood ‘A’ are currently third in the table on 70 points after a close 4-3 win away to Wilson Hall ‘A’ who are seventeen points and two places below them.

With The Bell already confirmed a champions of the Rowley Monday Night League Ex Serviceman’s ‘A’, with a 180 from Kalvin Chambers and a nine darts leg from Tommy Johnson in their 8-1 win over Yeltz Bar made the runners up spot theirs as third in the table Cradley Liberal Club, despite winning 6-3 against The Roost cannot catch them as they are four points to the good with only one fixture remaining.

Ten Arches continue to impress in the Stourbridge and District Monday Night League as the table topping ‘A’ team won 7-2 away to Bird (Wordsley) and the ‘B’ side went one better with an 8-1 success at home to Kingswinford Snooker Club to keep within two points of their local rivals and four ahead of third placed Gate ‘B’.

At the other end of the table there was a rare win for bottom team Hare and Hounds ‘A’, only their second win in 31 games when they won 5-4 against The Swan who are five places and fourteen points above them.

Week 32 of the Hilltop Friendly Tuesday Night League saw four of the six games end with a 5-2 result. Leaders Dewdrop were one of those teams as they beat Old Court House. Second placed Island Inn also won 5-2 at New Talbot but third in the table Wagon and Horses suffered a shock 4-3 defeat away to Merry-Go-Round and are now two points adrift Island Inn.

The Tamworth League had the first two rounds of their Paul Caswell Memorial Cup on the fixture card and winning through to the last four were Belgrave Club (4-3 against Wigginton Arms ‘A’), The Office (7-0 against Old Liberal House) and Sports Bar ‘180’ (4-3 against Queens Head), joining them in the semis will be Dolphin ‘B’ who had a bye.

With the first twelve fixtures completed in the Black Country Premier League only three points separate the top three teams. Blackheath Beechers are top of the table with 23 points after a very close 7-6 win at Silver End Sharpshooters who are fourth in the table on 19 points. Second in the table Black Country Belters are just one point off the top following their 10-6 win away to fifth place Woodside Poachers and making up the top three is Britannia Bulldogs on 20 points thanks to a huge 12-1 win against Cot A Lot Of That.

ECC ‘A’, champions of the Tettenhall Wednesday Night League rounded off their season with a 6-1 home win over Swan Compton to finish eight points ahead of runners up Whitmore Reans WMC who had a final 4-3 win against The Bull.

Taking the wooden spoon was Dog and Partridge who finished with 14 points from their 33 games, three fewer than the team above them Jones Road.

With games fast running out in the Wolverhampton Tuesday Night League leaders Riley’s ‘C’ took another giant step towards the division one singles title with a 7-0 win at Jack’s Bar to keep them four points to the good on second placed Sunbeam who have a game in hand on the leaders.

In division two a 5-2 home win over Pendulum has opened up a six points lead for top team Dog and Partridge as second placed Wednesfield Legion were unexpected 4-3 losers away to Riley’s ‘D’.

There were wins for the top four teams in the Wednesbury and Darlaston Wednesday Night League, leaders The Nuton won 5-4 at Horse and Jockey to stay ten points ahead of second placed Black Horse who were the weeks biggest winners, 8-1 against Staffordshire Knot ‘B’. Third in the table Staffordshire Knot ‘A’ had a 6-3 result at Churchills ‘A’ and making up the top four, English Oak won their home game against Churchils ‘B’ 5-4.
