The Winmau Darts Centre in the Wolverhampton Indoor Community Sports Arena played off the fourth in their series of knockouts and taking the top prize with a final 6-1 win over the previous week’s champion Mark Craddock was Matt Padgett who won the very first of the current series of knockouts.

In the semi finals Padgett won 5-3 against Mick Baker while Craddock was a 5-0 winner against Rob Morris.

Making it two consecutive wins in the fifth of the series of Thursday night knockouts was Matt Padgett who clinched the top prize with a second successive win over Mark Craddock, Craddock on this occasion losing 6-4.

Losing out in the semi finals were Greg Parkes and Jordan Ward.

The Thursday knockouts have now been put on hold as the ever increasingly popular Thursday Night Champions League has got underway. The early pacesetter in what is the fifth season of the league is newcomer Tony Randell who from his opening two games has amassed a total of 12 points to give him a three points lead over Chris Williams, who finished fourth in last season’s campaign and another newcomer this season Jordan Ward.

In addition to the Thursday league beginning its new season the Monday night league has also begun and after the first week’s games Misfits with a massive 45-3 win over Unleashed Warrior have taken pole position. Just The Tip are on the heels of the leaders their 42-6 win against Make Mine A Double giving them second place and a slender one point advantage over third in the table and reigning champions What’s The Point who beat Keep It In The Family 41-7.
