Louis Burley added a 5-2 win over Devinder Singh and a 6-1 win against Liam Baker to his tally in the Winmau Centre Thursday Night Champions League to take his points to 152. Week seventeen was a bad week for second placed Chris Williams as after winning 5-2 against Martin East he lost by the same margin to reigning champion for the past two seasons Mick Baker and then went down 6-1 to Charlie Burley who is only four places off the foot of the table. Nevertheless Williams with 146 points is only six short of leader Burley and he has two games in hand on Burley.

Sam Guest lying third in the table on 134 points from 24 games did his title hopes no harm when he handed out 7-0 defeats to Mark Bayliss and Shane Watters and beat Sam Aitkens 4-3 while fourth placed Mick Baker has only played 23 games and has 127 points after his 7-0 win over Sam Aitkens, 5-2 success against Chris Williams and a close 4-3 win in his tie with Adam Quinton.
