In division one of the BDO Inter County Championships West Midlands played away against County Durham, a fixture which saw them win three of the four games and draw the other. There was success for both the ‘B’ teams as the ladies won 4-2 and the men 7-5 with Shannon Hall (16.26) taking the ladies award while the men’s best average of 27.83 was shared by both Neil Pointon and Mark Craddock.

The ladies ‘A’ finished all square at three each Sarah Roberts chalking up her fourth award of the season with her 23.48 average. An 8-4 win for the men’s ‘A’ made it six wins in eight games, Scott Baker their top man with a 28.15 average.

The win sees West Midlands hold on to their second place in the table eighteen points behind leaders Hampshire and only one ahead of third placed London who they play in their final game of the season, the match now vital to both teams as the winners will join Hampshire in promotion to the premier division.
